A woman from Oxford has won £61,808 at the Gala Bingo hall in Greater Leys in the Oxford area on Friday 14th August. The win comes less than two weeks after another woman won £61,900 in the same bingo hall.
It seems this area is starting to rival Coatbridge as being Britain’s luckiest bingo playing town. Two women and a man have scooped prizes of over £30,000 each in bingo halls in the Scottish town of Coatbridge including Soraya Lowell’s record breaking win of over £1 million earlier this year.
The Oxford woman’s win consisted of £60,000 for winning the Nation Bingo Game plus the regional jackpot of £1,658 as well as the house prize of £150.
The young winner played the game with her mother and grandmother, completing her bingo card in 36 numbers.
A woman from Bicester, also in the Oxford area scooped £61,900 at the same bingo hall on Saturday night on 2nd August. The 53 year-old will spend her winnings on a trip to Las Vegas with her husband.
